Hobas Resort is another camping site managed by the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts). It is close to the entrance of the Fish River Canyon natural park, one of Africa’s wonders and the second largest canyon in the world, just after the Grand Canyon of the Colorado river in the US.

There are 14 camp sites available and also rooms and private chalets. The quality standard is very high, as it usually happens with the NWR sites. Prices are from N$ 90  person/night in camping site to N$ 180 in tented campings.

Restaurant and bar service are also available, where they prepare home-made food for a reasonable price, about N$ 80 per person.

The main activity here is of course visiting the canyon. There are also hiking trails that span for several days across the canyon, not for the faint-hearted.
